Egypt, Strong and Weak

Islamist Mohamed Morsy was declared Egypt’s first freely elected president on Sunday, sparking joy among his Muslim Brotherhood supporters on the streets who vowed to wrest more power from armed forces reluctant to cede ultimate control. The new Egyptian government will struggle over who really holds power as the military has restricted the authority of the president and dissolved the parliament. Creating an Egypt that is both strong and weak.

The bible talks of the final empire of the last days, the empire ultimately controlled by the Antichrist. According to the book of Daniel, this end time’s kingdom will be as iron mixed with clay, both strong and weak. We see this to be true of the Muslim controlled countries that make up the Middle East.  The former Ottoman Empire that suffered a fatal head wound in the 1920’s is trying to reform and rise again. As we see these days coming, what are we to do?
