A group of high school students in San Antonio are being singled out for chanting USA at a basketball game held here in the United States of America. The students are being forced to apologize for making such racist cheers. It appears that nationalist and patriotic attitudes held by Americans at an American school are now considered bad behavior.
What is the biblical perspective on this? We are engaged in a spiritual battle, not with flesh and blood. The goal of the Antichrist is to create an attitude of globalism. Jesus told us that there are two roads in life. One that leads to life and one that leads to destruction. The removal of American patriotism is crucial to the enemy’s plan.
Maybe, it is time to bring American flags and sing “I’m proud to be an American” at the basketball game and at games across the country.
