The state of Washington has joined the growing list of states that have legalized same sex marriage and New Jersey isn’t far behind as its senate has passed a similar measure. Many in this movement are calling this a civil rights issue as the open practice of homosexuality becomes commonplace. There are tremendous efforts being undertaken in almost every state to legalize same sex marriage in the United States.
The bible tells us that we are not to follow the crowd to do evil. While the majority of Americans are still opposed to same sex marriage, law makers and judges are being convinced to ignore not only their states civil law, but to ignore the law of God and His nature. We have become a nation obsessed with sex and relationships based on sex instead of a higher focus. Love does not depend on the flesh and cannot be regulated by the state.
