Before a joint session of congress, President Obama will reveal to the country his plan for turning around the worst American economy in a century. Unfortunately, the details of the plan have not been released in written form, nor are they expected to be written down any time soon. The president will once again speak in platitudes and ideology, but he will once again be short on specifics and commitment to his position. Many lawmakers have become weary of this lack of leadership and will not attend the speech.
The bible tells us that the people perish for a lack of vision. The president is unwilling to take a position of leadership at a time when America needs leadership the most. He will not own any policy nor will he put together anything in a detailed written form that can be analyzed and debated in the public arena. Even if we disagree with his ideology, the president needs to have the courage of his convictions and work with the congress to turn around the economy.
