The US Congress and the president of the United States continue to debate about the debt ceiling and one of the main sticking points of the talks is something called “entitlement spending” or what Larry Moss calls bribes. So, what are entitlements anyway? It sounds like something that is deserved (maybe a right) and /or expected. Reality is much different than the hype. Instead of entitlement spending, it should be called enslavement spending.
We are adding $4 billion daily to the national debt to create a class of people who no longer call upon the Lord to renew their strength, but call upon the government to provide their daily bread. At least you can count on who the enslaved (entitled) will vote for in the next election. They will vote for those who give them what they expect and agree with the demonization of those who dare to question how our money is spent.
The bible is clear. We are to call upon the Lord for what we need and work with our hands. Jesus taught in the Lord’s Prayer to ask the Lord to provide our daily bread. This is an Old Testament principle found in the opening chapters of Deuteronomy, that the Lord provides wealth and we provide the work. It is God who, by His grace, blesses us with the conditions and ability to gain wealth, not Uncle Sam.
By the grace of God we do not get what we deserve, that is the wrath of God. Instead we receive His mercy and His provision.
